UTAGE Inc. is a Vietnamese-based company founded by a Japanese owner to expand its food and beverage business. The first izakaya store was opened on February 17, 2024, in Little Tokyo, a Japanese district in Ho Chi Minh City. Since then, UTAGE has been expanding with multiple store locations, providing Japanese food at affordable prices. The company aims to introduce Japanese culture to Vietnam through its authentic Japanese cuisine, offering a closer connection to Japanese traditions.

Executive Officer

The driving forces behind the UTAGE project are two Executive Officers: a Japanese businessman and a Vietnamese engineer. As specialists in their respective fields, they collaborate to lead to success in Vietnam's rapidly growing food and beverage industry.

Founder & Chief Exective Officer

Born in May 1969 in Tokyo, Japan.
With over 25 years of experience in executive and management roles in the IT industry, I have been traveling between Japan and Vietnam for 17 years. Spending more than three-quarters of each year in Ho Chi Minh City, I founded UTAGE Inc. in 2023 to explore the potential of the food and beverage industry in Vietnam's rapidly growing market.

Phuong Nhi

Chief Operating Officer

Born in December 1991 in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam.

At the age of 25, independently opened a bar in the Japanese district of Ho Chi Minh City. Since then, has managed and owned multiple bars in the area.

Currently leveraging extensive experience in the food and beverage industry to contribute to UTAGE's management. Serves as the store manager, overseeing all aspects of operations, and was appointed Vice President/COO in November 2023.
